Welcome to St. Peter's

St. Peter the Apostle Parish has a very rich history that for over 180 years has had a tremendous impact on the New Brunswick community and beyond. For that we should be thankful and proud of all the parishioners, religious sisters, pastors and other priests who have gone before us serving so diligently and generously.

Our focus today is on moving forward and becoming what we will be under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, seeking to discover and develop the new ways that we are called to help others experience the love of Christ in this time, in this place. Opening ourselves up to the newness and goodness God has in store is very exciting.

To St. Peter and to the Church Jesus gave his authority to go out to all people and teach, baptize, forgive sins, heal, bless and “do this in remembrance of me”. Here at the Parish of St. Peter the Apostle we hope to keep Jesus Christ as our reference point for everything. A living relationship with our Lord is essential so as to discover the joy, hope, peace, love, freedom and life for which our hearts yearn. We want to be a community that grows and develops in our understanding of faithful discipleship and stewardship, charity and virtue, support and service to others, prayer and conversion of heart. A fundamental aspect of discipleship and church is to become God’s instrument reaching out to share the gifts entrusted to the Catholic Church with others who are seeking the truth, love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

Be with us on this holy journey from sinner to saint, from death to life, from forgiven to forgiving, from gifted to gift for others. Discover the various ministries, projects and activities your parish offers. We are becoming what we will be. Because the Lord Jesus is with us, loving us, I am hopeful about our future. Our parish family has such tremendous potential, as does each one of us as individuals, to be a powerful witness to Christ and to bring forth spiritual fruit through our service to God.

God’s love, blessing and peace be with you.
